We’d like to thank Deputy Mayor Judith Thomas, Director Ruth Morales, and Mayor’s Office Intern Angel Akinleye for their hard work putting this together.

Urban X Change Network Conference

Indianapolis-Cologne Sister Cities Committee president Melissa Hopson and Professor Nichole Neuman of the Max Kade Center at IUPUI attended the Urban X Change Network conference in Bonn (~20 miles outside of Cologne) last weekend October 23-25. We are excited to announce the start a new civil partnership project with a 57,000 euro grant generously supported from the Deutsche Volkshochschul Verband (VHS) and German Foreign Office due to the efforts of Homaira Mansury, head of the Sociopolitical department at Volkshochschule Köln. Our 2022-2023 project KO:IN Pride aims to bridge the LGBTQ+ communities in Indianapolis and Cologne through multiple funded projects throughout the year in both cities.
