Firefighter Exchange

Our committee believes in building a community of fire departments that further improves fire services across cultures. Firefighter members of our committee may apply for sponsorship to travel to our sister city for three weeks to learn best practices and to internalize the US and German fire service cultures.

Librarian Exchange

Our librarian exchange promotes the professional exchange between Indianapolis and Cologne librarians. Librarian members may apply for sponsorship to travel to our sister city for three weeks, teaming up with public librarians and learning about projects and programs.

Jazz Exchange

Jazz music in Indianapolis and Cologne is an important part of our cultural identity. Jazz musician members may apply for sponsorship to travel to our sister city for personal development, musical mentorship, and to meet new people and audiences through leading workshops and live performances.

Indy committee members are invited to meet on the second Sunday of every month to gather over coffee, cakes, and Kölsch.

Indy and Cologne members meet virtually over Zoom to discuss hot topics, cultural differences, and programs.
